I learned how to make homemade peach jam this week. From real peaches. The kind you get from the farmers' market and have to peel...yeah those. My parents-in-law make the best stuff, and I've enjoyed theirs for years. Finally, I decided I needed to learn how to make this stuff too. So after a little guidance from my mother-in-law over email, I bought the jars and the pectin. That was as far as I got since it's a bit of a time commitment. Rhonda and Larry (my in-laws) breezed through Nashville for one night this week and offered to walk me through a few batches (thank you again Rhonda and Larry). We ended up with 20 jars! Here are some pictures of us making our summer preserves! Long live summer!
